Woodworking Showcase

I work at the intersection of the natural and the industrial - combining classic woodworking techniques with modern tools like laser cutters. My projects explore how raw materials and precision technology can push each other in unexpected ways.

Woodworking Projects

These pieces show what happens when you point a laser at something wild. Precision doesn’t kill the chaos, it just gives it better edges.

The Gimping Goose

This piece was commissioned for a family with a pub-style bar in their home. Living on a lake they had a goose with an injured leg who became a frequent visitor. I mocked up the entire project from concept to final execution. This included hours working on the illustration and programming the laser. The pieces were precision cut on a 100 watt Thunder Laser Nova 35 and then assembled in my home shop.

Arsenal Shield

Commissioned for a true "Gunner", this piece was also precision cut on a Thunder Laser Nova 35 and assembled in my home shop. A variety of stains and paint were used to represent the image of the owners favorite football team. Each piece (including the white outlines and inner pieces of the cannon) is completely separate and demonstrates the precision that can be achieved.
